Pattern details for Project Peace 2020 can be found on Ravelry. YarnScout is offering five colorway kits for Project Peace 20202 in the colors shown below. The recommended yarn for this project is Pascuali Balayage, a luxurious alpaca/merino blend. A solid color of Balayage is used for the body of the shawl, with a coordinating hand dyed skein for the border. Each Project Peace Kit purchased from YarnScout will also include our exclusive "Love & Peace" pin at no additional charge, while they last! (we'll include another our exclusive YarnScout Pins when we run out of Love pins). Pattern is not included, and should be purchased separately via Ravelry.

Kits are offered with either 150 grams (3 balls) of the main color or 200 grams (4 balls). Samples were knit with 150 grams of MC with very little left over; since every knitter is different and gauge can vary slightly, you may find that you need a little bit more of the main color. Purchasing a 4 ball kit will ensure that you have the same dye lot of the main color yarn. Additional balls may be purchased later, but we may not have the same dye lot.

Kit colors are described as follows:

Ancash - a soft sage green body with border in soft pinks and sage green

Puno - a heathered blue body with border in blues, greens and gold

Inka - a heathered gray body with border in shades of pinks and gray

Amazonas - a heathered brass gold body with border in shades of greens and gold

Chavin - a heathered mauve pink body with border in shades of blue, green, gold and pink

Project Peace 2020 is an annual global knit-along sponsored by The Healthy Knitter from December 1st - 21st. The KAL is supplemented with blog posts from The Healthy Knitter centered on peace, culminating on December 21st in what has been labeled "World-wide Knit-in for Peace Day." Project Peace is all about providing opportunities and awareness of how to incorporate more peace into your life. The pattern will be released and the KAL begins on December 1st. You may sign up for the KAL by purchasing the pattern via Ravelry.
