Where did September go?

by Sharyn Anhalt September 30, 2016

I can't believe it's the last day of September, and over a month since I last wrote! I'm still working on my Om Shawl, but I'm on the home stretch. How are your shawls coming along? I'll post some pics and button ideas in a few days. Would love to see your photos of your shawls or better yet, show them off in person by dropping by the shop!

A huge project this past month was preparing for a visit by designer Stephen West. This is the second time Stephen has joined us in Montana, and he never disappoints. We held three wonderful workshops, and participants came from California, Wyoming, Missouri, and across the state of Montana! Stephen gave us a sneak peak of a new design, and helped choose yarn color combos for his upcoming Mystery Knitalong starting October 7th.

Appropriately, our shop KAL for the month of October will be Stephen's MKAL. The only thing you need to do to join in is purchase the pattern here on Ravelry. Clues will be released for four weeks, starting Friday October 7th. Of course, choosing yarn for this project is half the fun - Stephen has designed this shawl with an exclusive yarn from Hedghog Fibres (that has since sold out) but Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles yarn is a perfect stand in! He was so excited to see the huge variety of colors we have in stock of this yarn - we'd love to help you put together a beautiful color palette to work with. We are always happy to help via email and can send you pics before you purchase!

If a mystery knitalong is not your thing, we'd love to help you find a project that does suit you. Whether you enjoy chunky knits or finely knit sweaters, we are sure to have the right yarn for your project. Happy Fall Knitting - and Crocheting!
